Frontier Battalion Texas Rangers Exhibit

Members

Membership of the Frontier Battalion Texas Rangers is a variation of living history experience. Trying to preserve Texas Ranger history is the main objective of each member by reenactments as well as the display of items of the Ranger Frontier Battalion period of time.

We strive to be as accurate in presenting Ranger history as possible and all reenactments are researched so as to provide as accurate accountant of the historical event as possible. Therefore you will see little to none of the Hollywood melodrama renditions of the Rangers or the old west. Out intentions are to provide the visitor with historical displays and information related to the Frontier Battalion which existed from 1874-1901.

The members are life members of the Former Texas Ranger Association and the Former Texas Ranger Foundation. They are also members of the Old West Outlaws and Lawmen organization. They participate in events sponsored by the Texas Ranger Association and the Waco Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum which is located in Waco, Texas.

Members of the organization have been in numerous big screen movies and have represented the Texas Rangers on television such as the History Channel, the Discovery Channel, the Learning Channel, and Texas a Big America. They have also been in television documentaries produced by foreign countries.

The group is called upon because of their authenticity to the correct history and dress of the Frontier Battalion Rangers. They are called the “ghosts” of the past because of their authentic dress and because of the authenticity of their reenactments that the Rangers were involved in.
